Protect our planet

Conserve our resources and ecosystems across the whole value chain

We encourage our partner farmers to apply better natural resource and ecosystem practices.

Conserve biodiversity

Our partner farmers* implement conservation agriculture techniques (no ploughing, plant cover, hedge planting). In this way, they are helping to preserve the soils and biodiversity, and capture carbon: roughly 4,000 tonnes of carbon were captured in the soils in 2023. Our production charter, co-developed with these self-same farmers, describes the farming standards that enable our objectives to be attained, particularly in terms of sustainability and traceability.

*Limagrain co-op farmers who have signed the Jacquet production charter.

80% of farmers in the Limagrain co-op do not plough their land
10% of agricultural land classified as ecologically-significant land
23% of eggs from cage-free farms in 2024

Our farmers have also formed a partnership with the French Bird Protection League (LPO) to protect the Montague’s harrier, an endangered bird of prey. The Montague’s harrier nests at ground level, and particularly in cereal crop (wheat or barley) or rapeseed fields. They have pledged to report signs of the bird on their farms to the LPO and protect their nests.

And with a view to improving animal wellbeing, we have made a commitment to obtain 100% of eggs and egg products from non-cage farms by the end of 2025.
